Rationalising Mediterranean Sea Ways:

 OPTIMED project has been presented at the 10th Union for the Mediterranean (UFM) Transport Working Group, which was held in Barcelona, Spain, last 5th November, in the framework of the fruitful collaboration between the project partners and one of the most important organisations dealing with cooperation policies in the Mediterranean.

In the last days 20 participants coming from Algeria, Egypt, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Spain, Tunisia attended the specialized training course “Short Sea Shipping, Motorways of the Sea and e-freight”, organised under the framework of the OPTIMED project (Rationalising Mediterranean Sea Ways: from Southern-Eastern to Northern-Western).

A training course on “Short Sea Shipping, Motorways of the Sea and e-freight” is going to take place from the 14th to the 18th of September, in Barcelona (Spain) and Cagliari (Italy). 20 logistics operators of EU and MPC (Mediterranean Partner Countries) - Algeria, Egypt, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Spain, Tunisia - will be trained on intermodal transport, short sea shipping services, motorways of the sea, e-freight and on the new opportunities provided by the OPTIMED system and instruments.

Welcome to the third Optimed Newsletter!
