The final conference of the "Optimed Project - Rationalising Mediterranean Seaways from Southern to Northern-Eastern-Western ports" will take place on 18th December at the "Palacio de Pedralbes", in Barcelona, in the headquarters of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM).
The "Business to Business" meetings between economic operators of logistics in the Mediterranean - coming from Lebanon, France, Italy and Spain – will kick off on December 1st from Marseille. The event is organized as part of the project activities of OPTIMED - funded by the European cross-border cooperation ENPI CBC Med Programme.
The "business to business" meetings among the operators of the logistic sector in the Mediterranean will close tomorrow in Beirut. The meetings had started in Barcelona last June - housed in the International Fair of Logistics – and continued in Marseille, Cagliari and Porto Torres, last week.
A training course on “Short Sea Shipping, Motorways of the Sea and e-freight” is going to take place from the 14th to the 18th of September, in Barcelona (Spain) and Cagliari (Italy). 20 logistics operators of EU and MPC (Mediterranean Partner Countries) - Algeria, Egypt, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Spain, Tunisia - will be trained on intermodal transport, short sea shipping services, motorways of the sea, e-freight and on the new opportunities provided by the OPTIMED system and instruments.
